On 18 July 2012, Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa will celebrate the beginning of its first Mosuo Culture Festival supported by the Lijiang Tourism Bureau and Lugu Lake Governing Office.
Namu (Yang Er Che Na Mu 杨二车娜姆 ) the ambassador of Mosuo Culture will also attend the ceremony and share her vivid stories about the intriguing Mosuo ethnic people and their customs. She will be hosting several afternoon tea talks during the 43 day festival (please check with the hotel for confirmed dates).
In addition to an exhibition introducing Mosuo culture at the hotel’s TianLu Library, Mosuo cuisine will be available at ZUN Chinese Restaurant and Mosuo cocktails at 1919 Bar. Nightly performances of Mosuo love songs, dancing and traditional weaving will be available for dinner guests to enjoy at the hotel throughout the duration of the Pullman Lijiang – Mosuo Culture Festival.
